- Book Talks- I would post blurbs about books that we are going to read in the coming week in my classroom. This will encourage parents to take the book out at their local library and read them with their children at home to reinforce the home school connection. As we know, to become a better reader we must read the book more than once!
- New Math- I would post the weekly math objectives along with explanations on how parents can help their students complete their homework problems. Math has changed a lot over the years and some parents are not familiar with the new techniques. This will allow them to access the help from home when they need it!
- Computer sites for kids- I would frequently post websites that parents could go on with their children. Quite often parents do not have know what education sites are best for their children.
